Alamosa County Market Update – January 2020

Commercial Real Estate sales volume of $3.9M with 11 transactions in 2019 in Alamosa County is significantly up 400% compared to 3 sales of $785K in 2018. Residential Real Estate sales of $23.8M in 2019 are up 9.7% compared to sales in 2018 of $22.7M. Sales Taxes are up 5.4% in 2019 compared to taxes collected in 2018. New commercial real estate development projects include a new proposed downtown hotel for 2020 and RV Resort that is being negotiated with the City of Alamosa that is currently stalled. Economy in the local area are expected to improve once agriculture commodity prices increase.
